Cailee Spaeny is receiving critical plaudits for her lead role in Priscilla. She portrays Priscilla Presley, wife of Elvis, in a revealing and intimate drama adapted from the former's biography. As with the book, the movie takes us behind the facade of Graceland to expose the cracks and fallibilities of an apparent fairy tale romance.
Saltburn's Jacob Elordi portrays The King himself and Sofia Coppola directs, bringing that familiar sense of soft-focus atmosphere and piercing insight familiar from acclaimed works like Lost in Translation. Spaeny's acclaimed portrayal is being tipped for Oscar glory and the movie has screened in advance for Unlimited members.
It was our last Unlimited screening of 2023 and our 300th to date, making it a true celebration of Unlimited. We've rounded up several reactions to find out if Unlimited members are also backing Spaeny for an Academy Award.
It was really interesting, quite shocking at the same time but there again this side of the story is from Priscilla Presley. It's very well acted, @CaileeSpaeny gave a phenomenal performance as Priscilla Presley and same with Jacob Elordi as Elvis. Overall Score: 9/10! Grade: A!

I really enjoyed it. It was nice to see a different side of the story we saw in the Luhrmann film, with a focus on Priscilla getting swept up in and then growing up in the Elvis bubble. Bittersweet and emotional at times with great performances from Cailee Spaeny & Jacob Elordi.

A bitter sweet drama, sad, shocking, happy all the emotions of real life, 8/10 better on the big screen 😀

Loved it! As beautifully done as I would expect from Sofia Coppola and a great soundtrack to boot! And thank you for the sweets! 😁
