It's the season of good cheer but who can resist a movie that makes you bawl your eyes out? The star-studded romantic drama We Live In Time is this season's most memorable heartbreaker, pairing Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh in a non-linear story of love resisting the odds. The movie screened in advance for Unlimited members earlier this week and we've curated some of their reactions.
Garfield plays Tobias, a recently divorced man who falls for fusion chef Almut (Pugh), the woman who happened to knock him over with her car. A tentative romance soon blossoms into something deeper, and the film's non-chronological structure mixes triumph and tragedy from parenthood to unexpected medical diagnoses. Throughout it all, Tobias and Almut's connection to each other intensifies precisely because of life's struggles.
Directed by Brooklyn helmer John Crowley, We Live In Time promises to be a multi-hankie experience when it's released in the new year. Read the Unlimited responses below and book your tickets at the end of this post.
Such a beautifully told story, plenty of humour, a bit of pain & sadness, but heartwarming at the same time. Not quite a happy ending, but life goes on.

Such great onscreen chemistry between the 2 leads too made it utterly charming & believable. ❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful performances from Pugh & Garfield, magnificent chemistry between them. The film had me roaring with laughter one minute and sobbing the next. A real rollercoaster of a movie. Also the little girl was absolutely adorable.

It did something that a lot of films have struggled to do this year, it made me care about the characters.

My film of the year. Couldn't stop crying but so many laughs too. Flo and Andrew give such beautiful performances and he is really out there setting unachievably high standards for boyfriends everywhere, huh. I just wanted more time with them, more life. A gorgeous movie❤️❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/kdD9Wy8Jek
