We always welcome customer feedback, good or bad, and we aim to resolve customer issues amicably, so it is important that you let our Customer Services team know about your complaint and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it.

If you are still not happy with how we have handled any complaint, you may want to contact the alternative dispute resolution provider we use. Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is a process where an independent body considers the facts of a dispute and seeks to resolve it, without you having to go to court.

ADR will only be offered once the complaint process has been exhausted.

Alternatively, you may wish to seek your own ADR provider, however Cineworld will not cover any costs of this.

Yes, we do. "Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer. Cineworld have a strict no externally purchased hot food or alcohol policy, and we reserve the right to refuse customers entry into the screens with hot food or alcohol bought outside the premises. We offer a wide range of drinks and snacks for you to enjoy when watching our movies, including cinema favourites such as popcorn, hot dogs and nachos.

No, customers are not permitted to smoke or vape on the premises of any Cineworld cinema. This includes any form of electronic cigarette or other artificial smoking devices. Cineworld reserves the right to require any person or customer found to be in contravention of this rule to leave the premises immediately without any entitlement to a refund.

Ads and trailers normally last between 20-30 minutes before the film begins. We recommend all customers arrive at the cinema 20 minutes ahead of the advertised start time to ensure they have the best possible experience. We also recommend you are promptly seated at the advertised start time to ensure you do not miss the beginning of the film, should adverts be unexpectedly shorter.

Please check your communication preferences by logging into your My Cineworld account and going to "Edit Account". Select "Manage my Preferences" and opt-in for all marketing communications you wish to receive and click "Update Preferences" to save these updates.
You can no longer purchase My Cineworld Plus. Once your annual Plus account has expired, you will not be able to renew your My Cineworld Plus account and it will revert to being simply a My Cineworld account.
We’ll always do everything we can to let you bring your belongings in with you as long as it is safe to do so.

If we think your item could block the way in an evacuation, we may ask you to leave it somewhere suitable.

Venue Hire & Events

The movie will start dead on 11am, we advise customers to please get to the cinema 15 mins before their event start time in order not to miss any of the movie. There are no ads or trailers for private events.

You can still order drinks and snacks from the cinema on the day if your event is after 1pm. However please note you will need to pay full price at the cinema on the day and will not benefit from the special offers our sales team can provide.

You will need to speak to one of our sales consultants so please send through an enquiry and depending on your needs we may be able to help you.

If you want to show your own movie then this type of event can be arranged by contacting us via [email protected]. If you wish to show your own film then the content will need to be converted to DCP format which will incur an additional fee of £250 (inc VAT). You will also need to get your film age certified by the local council. We don’t allow you to charge for tickets for private hires so please take this into consideration.

Schools are allowed to re-coup the money from their students for school trips however for all other private events this is not allowed. However we do make exceptions so if you are a charity or a community group please speak to one of our sales consultants who may be able to help you.

Our events system automatically generates your requirements to the cinema, this is done each week so the cinema knows the number of staff they need for the event and any snack items they need to order if they don’t have what you want for your event in stock.

Private Venue Hire

Prices may vary depending on location and day booked. The simplest way to check our prices is to visit our Events page here and choose your cinema, day, time, and chosen film and the price will be displayed on screen. For larger events and special requests please contact our Events team using our contact form.

Our prices for private hire events can vary, depending on factors such as location, time, film and date so can often be higher than the advertised prices.

All quotes are valid for 14 days.

Please contact your booker and they will look to reschedule your booking or refund where possible. Changes to your booking and cancellations more than 7 days before your event will incur an administration charge and you may also be responsible for some of Cineworld’s wasted costs. If you cancel your booking within 7 days of the event, the full cost of the venue hire will be charged (and where you have paid in advance, a refund may not be issued). Please check the terms of your booking for further details.

Of course. We hire out our screens and cinemas for everything from private film screenings and, conferences. Please complete a booking form and we’ll be in touch shortly.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, there are occasions in which screenings need to be cancelled. Please rest assured we will do our best to avoid this and reschedule if possible and Events Team will contact you to discuss your options.

We apologise for this and would advise you to speak to a member of the cinema team at that time who will look to resolve this for you. Please be aware that tickets for private event screenings cannot be resold to any persons unless the event is specifically for charity and this has been cleared with Cineworld Events Team first.

The cinema will have received the same invoice and order details as you received. Should you have concerns, please raise this with one of the in-cinema team who will contact the Events Team and aim to resolve swiftly.

Even for a private event BBFC age certification applies. Cineworld reserves the right to ask any person for proof of age for any age restricted film and subsequently refuse admission with no refund due.

If at the time of booking your event, the age rating for your chosen film has not been confirmed by the BBFC or IFCO or is subsequently confirmed and the attendees at your Event do not meet the age requirement we may have to cancel the event or suggest an alternative title.

Only standard 2D screens are available for hire. Premium formats such as IMAX, 4DX, Screen X or Superscreen are excluded.
