Sci-fi fans are in for a massive treat next month when Mickey 17 arrives on the big screens at Cineworld (from 7 March). Directed by Oscar winner Bong Joon-ho (Parasite, Snowpiercer), this ground-breaking comedy epic stars Robert Pattinson as Mickey Barnes, a destitute man who is fed up with living on Midgard (a futuristic iteration of Earth), and signs up to be an ‘expendable’ on the human colony of Niflheim.
He’s handed a series of dangerous assignments he’s not expected to survive, with a Mickey clone being generated each time he dies. However, this neat little arrangement is turned on its head when one of the Mickey clones is incorrectly assumed dead, meaning that he and his successor end up living side by side. We won’t reveal any more about the story but suffice to say it’s an unmissable piece of cinema, and one that has to be seen at Cineworld.
